There are lots and lots and lots of things going on this summer. While many of the things will be announced as summer gets closer, here is a list of some of the big things being planned:
Paint-O-Rama - June 2-4
Uplift (HS Camp) - June 14-19
MS Mission Trip - June 23-25
Cornerstone (MS Camp) - July 5-11
Camp of the Hills - July 20-26 (Students participating in the HS Mission Trip will come home on July 25.)
Nashville Mission Trip (HS) - July 26-August 2
Uplift is our high school camp. It's an amazing week of spiritual growth and encouragement as we try to live out our Christian lives in a real and relevant way. We'll hear great speakers, experience great times of worship, grow closer to our youth group, meet other Christian students from across the nation, and have a lot of fun. All 7th and 8th graders (students going in to 8th and 9th) are invited to go join us on the FIRST EVER Middle School Mission Trip. It's fun, it's happy, it's jubulant, it's like eating Maggie Moo's ice cream, a package of Reese's Peanut-Butter cups, and a snow cone all at the same time - except without the stomach ache.
The trip is June 23-25. We're going to be serving an inner-city school and doing some projects for them. We'll leave Monday morning and be back on Wednesday in time for church. Camp Cornerstone is our camp for middle school students. It's a wonderful week of growing closer to God and enjoying what it means to live as a child of His. It could perhaps be your best week of the year. Don't miss it. If you would like to learn more about Cornerstone, click on the video links below. The video is from Tuesday of camp last year.

On July 20, our high school group and some parents will be going to Camp of the Hills near Marble Falls, Texas, to serve meals to the campers and staff. We need lots of help during this week including lots of parents. If you would like to help, talk to Monty, Heather, or Kent as soon as possible. (For students who will be going to COTH and the Nashville trip, we will be bringing you home on Friday, July 25, so that you can re-pack and get ready to go again on the 26th.)
On July 26 we're headed to Tennessee to work with the Nashville Inner City Ministry. This trip is for any students currently in high school, including class of 2008 graduates. If you enjoy serving and you want to make a difference in the lives of others, this trip is for you. Information was sent out in the mail during the first week of April. The sign-up deadline is Sunday, April 27. We hope you'll join us.
